Meet Carla Whitted, LCSW
Welcome to our site! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have been practicing since 1994. I specialize in treating women using a variety of modalities based on your needs. One of the questions I will ask you when we meet is, "What would you like to see different in your life because you came here?" This will be a good starting point for our work together. I see my role in our work together as your partner in your recovery journey. You will set the pace and degree of intensity of our work together. I will offer you a number of skill sets, therapeutic techniques, reflection, and support while you do the work of healing yourself. It is beautiful work and I am privileged to accompany you on your healing journey.
My specialties include Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), CBT, Exposure Therapy, and other functional models, as well as Mindfulness and various psychotherapy models. I will also incorporate breath-work and Kundalini if you find it serves you well in managing anxiety or maintaining sobriety. I find that an eclectic mix of treatment modalities works best. We, as people, aren't one-dimensional. Our treatment won't be either!
If you are interested in making lasting changes to improve your life, I am here to accompany you on your journey!
Meet Mary Slowiak, LSW
As a social worker, I offer a unique and holistic approach to care and recovery. I value the dignity and worth of each person, meaning I understand that my role as a therapist is to support you in realizing and achieving your own personal goals, but never to outline them for you. Let’s work together to create a life in which peace and joy are strongly present.
Whether you are operating from a space of overwhelm, or feeling a lack of control, I want to work with you to help reconnect with your sense of self and the values most important to you. Whatever your struggle, I am here to partner with you in reclaiming your life.
My therapeutic approach is situation specific and entirely dependent on your preference and need. My specialties include Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and EMDR.
At the Whitted Group for Healing, our philosophy is based in partnering with women in creating a fulfilling and meaningful life. I look forward to my part in your journey towards healing.
